Report by Alastair Gott

After an immense night with MUSC at the TSG. Me, George Bunyan, Christina Guam, Kevin Francis and Mandy Fu (of MUSC). Made our way into peak cavern alongside one Jim Lister of TSG and ink sump fame.

After making a fool of myself in front of the tour by slipping over on some slippy rock! we made our way down to buxton water sump where Jim quickly dissapeared into the darkness and his long standing project of which we would be helping out before going to Moss Chamber.
We were left to find where the scaff bars were and transport them to the bottom of the surprise view ladder. This was moderately hard work especially when still trying to get rid of a hang over from the night before!

Once completed we made our way to the step up into pickerings passage. I have been here once before with Ann (TSG), Kev and Imogen- so i was naturally left to try and find my way through the passages. i only made one mistake after getting over the block. Its amazing just how much you actually forget of a trip when you don't really want to forget.

i had forgotten about the two climbs after the eyehole (which i didn't forget). The eyehole is a tricky thrutch which gets easier each time! The two climbs are not easy but are easily forgotten when in moss chamber which makes anything worthwhile. Well worth a visit.

Me, George and Mandy continued onto Anniversary hall while Guam and Kev took in the amazing sights of Moss Chamber. Some incredible sights can be seen on the way to Anniversary Hall. Anniversary Hall is a great extension to the Moss Chamber trip but it must be noted is quite unstable from the start, this instability continues into Anniversary Aven where it must be mentioned that rocks are easily dislodged and it gets much more unstable near the top. Where the description says "due to the risk of massive collapse the whole area of anniversary hall and beyond is best avoided", i must agree it doesn't get more interesting beyond Anniversary Hall.
